Timing Daily Writes: Set your timer for 12 minutes and stop writing when it goes off. Go back and read what you’ve written. Edit, if you like. If you can’t stop writing when the timer dings, that’s great, but don’t send your partner more than the first 12 minutes.
Word Limit: Please keep your writes to a maximum of 400 words. This is part of how the Round Robin remains manageable as a daily practice. Even if you write over 400 words, do not share more than 400 words with your partner.
Daily Commitment: You must write every day. Excuses such as “I was way too tired to write yesterday!” or “I had to work late and didn’t have time,” or “I felt totally uninspired,” are not acceptable. In general, only true emergencies qualify as acceptable reasons for not doing a daily write.
