Friends of the Salon Reading Series

We believe that Bay Area writers, creative writing schools, and literary organizations thrive as a collective through the cross-pollination of ideas and inspiration. That’s why we started up the Friends of the Salon Reading Series in 2018, a series that explores and deepens these relationships in our local literary community.

Occurring on a seasonal basis, meetups are designed to provide an intentional and facilitated space to help writers keep a finger on their own creative pulse and engage with other like-minded writers. Meetups are free to Writing Salon members.

  • These short and sweet meetups are some of my favorite Writing Salon events. The meetups are low commitment but designed to be highly productive in terms of effective prompts and concentrated writing time. Meetups are also an opportunity to meet with The Writing Salon’s wonderful community of writers.
